'Message in a Bottle' is a national scheme, set up in the Knighton/Presteigne area by the Knighton & District Rotary Club. and is designed to give your personal medical information to the emergency services in the event that they are called to your home. This is done by you completing a form (see attachment below) with your medical details. You then place the form in a pre-supplied plastic bottle in your refrigerator. You then stick a supplied label on the outside of the door of the refrigerator as well as an identical one on the inside of your front door. If for any reason the emergency services have to visit you, they will have been informed of the 'Message in a Bottle' scheme and will see the labels on the inside of your door and your refrigerator, giving them instant access to your important medical details. There is no charge for the bottle, labels and medical form which can be obtained from the following locations:
We are slowly distributing the bottles and to date you will find them available at:
If you cannot access these outlets or you work in these outlets and need extra supplies, telephone Cathleen Jones on 01568 770808, 07813 733240 or through our contact page
