Cheque presentation to 9 of the 30 charities supported

Today we welcomed the Mayor of Knighton and representatives of 9 charities to the Reynolds Room at the Knighton Community Centre.


On Tuesday afternoon July 10th Knighton Rotary Club welcomed Knighton Mayor Nick Johns and representatives of 9 charities to the Reynolds Room at the Knighton Community Centre. Rotary President Ivan Jones presented cheques to Andrew Hall of the Wales Air Ambulance, Mary Seldon of the Midlands Air Ambulance, Beverley of the East Radnor Day Care Centre, Leanne Williams of the Tref-y-Clawdd Rugby Club Juniors, Helen Anderson & Julia Roberts of the Knighton Food Bank, Caroline Yorke of SARDA ( Search And Rescue Dogs ) Wales, Matt Rising of the East Radnorshire Young Carers, Di Cosgrove of Red Earth Education ( based in Uganda), and Jane Roberts & Kay Pritchard of the Ugandan nurse project. President Ivan Jones said “We are proud to have been able to support over 30 different charities, good causes and projects in this past Rotary year. Along with the donations we have made today, our overall contribution to local, national and international charities has reached nearly £7000” President Ivan continued “Rotary members want to thank the local community for their support and look forward to being able to continue our close relationship in the future”
