Enthusiastic young Rugby players from Knighton have received a boost from Knighton and District Rotary Club to help towards the purchase of shorts for the under 8’s and under 10’s, and tagbelts for the under 6’s. Head Coach of the under 7’s and under 8’s, Daren Hipgrave, was very appreciative of the donation and said “We warmly welcome all players from the age of 6 upwards and equipment is crucial to the growth and development of both the club and the juniors. Many thanks to the Rotary Club members for their generosity.” Incoming Rotary Club President Ivan Jones (pictured with the junior teams, and with Chairman Simon Dodd accepting the cheque) added “Knighton Rotary Club members are keen advocates of local sports and family activities, as well as supporting local charities in the Knighton area”.
