"I wonder, what is the collective noun for a bunch of newsreaders?" mused David B as the Rotary golfers made their weary way back to the Grove clubhouse for lunch and a pint. None of us knew, which meant it was an excellent question for the November Family Quiz at the Baron. We had good turnout as usual and enjoyed a very tasty supper thanks to Debra, Phil and the team. Our friends from the Classrooms in the Clouds ( CITC) charity and from Bucknell village came along and the event raised £120, which the Club is donating towards the Pensioners Christmas lunch in Knighton. Norman, Margaret and their friends were the winning team, only two points ahead of their joint closest rivals (Kim, Sheila, Nick, Eileen and the CITC/Kaboodle team). We have been invited by the CITC to their quiz at Wistanstow in January. Our next quiz, to cure the winter blues, will be on February 16th 2018......and the answer for one point is "scoop"!
