Adam, Norman and Paul set off from Knighton and had a good lunch at the Severn Arms, Penybont where they planned their strategy for the 93rd Annual Rotary Bowls Competition at Llandrindod Wells. Rock Park is a beautiful location and although storm clouds were brewing the sun made an appearance just in time for the start of the competition and it remained hot and fine for most of the afternoon. Norman and Paul were complete bowling novices but they had great guidance (and a few stern words) from Adam. About 16 club teams competed so it was a great opportunity to meet other Rotarians from other clubs including Pontllanfraith and Brecon against whom we played. Although we didn't win the competition we didn't lose ! After a buffet tea DG Steve Jenkins presented the trophies and said he is looking forward to visiting Knighton in August.
