Dinner and speaker at the Baron

Tonight we welcomed Sue Johnson from Mary's Meals to speak to us about her charity supporting children across the world.....
After a tasty meal at the Baron, Sue introduced us to the Mary's Meals charitable works through a video from their website. The video was lengthy ( in some ways too long ) but showed us the impact of a "meal every day at school" for children across the world can make. The first country supported was Malawi but you can see all the countries where Mary's Meals operates on their website......Currently over 1,000,000 children are fed every day for the cost of £13.90 per year.......We were pleased to be able to donate £50 to the charity - you can see Sue with President Patrick accepting the cheque above.....
