Polio Eradication " Thanks for life campaign" - The eradication of polio has been an aim of Rotary worldwide since 1985 and there are only 4 countries that still have cases of this debilitating disease. With the continued support of Rotarians, friends of Rotary, the Bill Gates Foundation, WHO and Unicef this disease will one day be like small pox - history! http://www.ribi.org/thanks-for-life
Leonard Cheshire International - This charity works with over 250 independently managed disability organisations in 54 countries to provide support in a wide range of areas. See more at http://www.lcint.org/?lid=3044
SEED - This charity sponsors young people in Tanzania to allow them to attend school. We donated money following a fire in the living accomodation of one of the schools which killed 3children. The living quarters are now fully refurnished and the students have settled back to normal school life. http://www.s-e-e-d.org.uk/
DebRA - this charity supports families of children, both in the country and overseas, who have epidermolysis bullosa. It also funds research into a cure for this very nasty and debilitating skin condition http://www.debra.org.uk/
Action Aid - we sponsor an Indian child called Babulal Durua through Action Aid and get regular updates as to his progress in learning English and his life on his fathers farm.
Buy a Goat prize - Once a year we donate an ethical prize to a raffle at one of our larger fundraising events. This year it was a goat at our 60's night, won by a lucky ( though rather bemused ) Robert Wells!
Rotary Shelter Box - this is the major way our Rotary Club supports disaster relief across the world. Every box supplies living accomodation and emergency supplies for 10 people and can be distributed to any country in need within days from warehouses in Cornwall and Australia. http://www.shelterbox.org/

Rotary Young Chef - This year's winner 13 year old Hope Robson from Bishop's Castle Community College went onto the next round in Llandovery and performed very well. http://www.ribi.org/youth/competitions/rotary-young-chef
Rotary Young Musician - 14 year old violinist Conor Gricmanis one this year's competition and went on the be runner up in the next round held in Bryn Mawr. He is keen to win next year! http://www.ribi.org/youth/competitions/rotary-young-musician

Hannah Allaway - a talented young harpist, whose family has supported us in the past, who we have supported in her endeavours to further her music education.
Stephanie Forde - we have donated some money to this young army cadet who wishes to help a community in Peru become self sufficient by planting hawango trees and helping in other as well as completing her Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.
