Visit to Meissen 28th to 30th April
Club Visit to Meissen 28th to 30th April
7 memebers and their wives travelled to Meissen via Prague. Collected by minibus the group were entertained at the office of the President where there was a barbeque and we met up with our hosts and old friendships were renewed.
On Friday, the group visited Dresden and looked aroud the historical centre seeing many of the reconstucted buildings. In the evening, there was a visit to the Meissen Brewery where we had a visit around the process, a meal and sampled the 4 different brews that they make.
On Saturday, there was a visit on a local steam train and a formal meeting of the club in the evening.
Sunday Morning and some members went to a Garden Show, whilst others
visited the Meissen Porcelain Factory and did some shopping. The group
all came together for lunch followed by fond farewells as we went back
to Prague for our trip home.
