President Paul Cheadle and Rotarians William WIlliams, Hopkin Joseph and Barrie Ball shared experiences with pupils, each member visiting two classes.
President Paul shared his experience working in IT and communications and demonstrated how technology in these areas has changes over the last 50 years.
William's talk focussed on the use of STEM elements in the radio communications requirements world with specific examples used, such as the Concorde "Sales" World Tour, the effect of the shape of the Earth (a globe used) and the Ionosphere. Use was made of the 2012 Olympic Torch to add some basic mathematical calculations.
Hopkin's talk centred on the the importance and exciting ways STEM is used in property development, citing specific examples.
