Having qualified as winners from the Bridgend competition held at Brynteg School last year, students Oliver Higgins (opposer), Llewellyn Lewis (chair) and Oliver Pallister (proposer), pictured above, represented Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd in the Seniors District final at Queen Elizabeth High School, Carmarthen.
In a competition with a tremendously high standard from all five schools competing, Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd really did themselves, their school and Bridgend proud with their performance, their motion being "This house believes countries should not interfere in the running of other states!"

Oliver Higgings was named as the competition's best opposer and is pictured above receiving his award and certificate from Rotary Southern Wales District Governor Ian Hughes. Congratulations Oliver!
A close contest was won by the "home" school, Queen Elizabeth High School.
