On Friday 13th March, almost 100 years to the day since we received our Charter, Rotary Bridgend are holding a Centenary Celebration Dinner at the Masonic Hall in Bridgend. We have a number of very special guests, including the District Governor, the District Governor Elect and representatives from local Clubs, joining our members to celebrate this very special occassion.
In our centenary year Rotary Bridgend have three very special projects:
Heronsbridge School
A special needs school with around 270 pupils which is both a primary and secondary special school, catering for a wide range of additional learning needs.
Rotary Bridgend have provided funding to enable the Ty Cwtch grow garden and storage selling produce to family and teachers
Y Bwthyn Newydd
A specialist palliative care unit at the Princess of Wales Hospital looks after people with life limiting conditions. Rotary Bridgend have donated equipment to improve the garden area used by patients, their loved ones and staff
Y Bont
A specialist child and family centre which provides a unique range of day services for children with disabilities and complex medical conditions. Rotary Bridgend have provided funding to enable a refresh of the family support room and purchase of much needed specialist equipment.
