Wendy attended our breakfast meeting with Julie Jenkins, Pencoed Primary School's Engagement Officer.
Wendy has been volunteering at the School for the past 12 years, attending with her Pets As Therapy dog, Griff. Having lost her own hearing at the age of eight, Wendy teaches sign language to the students and told us of her experiences over the years. As with other languages, most of the children are able to pick this up quickly, at least quicker than their elders!
Rotarian Hopkin Joseph gave thanks for a very interesting and informative talk.
