Rotary Young Musician Competition

There were three competitors in this year’s competition. Representing the Bridgend area was a pupil from Brynteg School, Beth Mellowes, who competed on the piano and violin. The other two  competitors played the piano.

Beth is now going on to the next stage of the competition and will play the violin. The competition  will be held in Cowbridge in January.  The date will be announced in due course.

The standard of the  competition was high and it was such a pleasure to listen to such talented young musicians.

Bob and Lesley Dunlop, Win and Ceri Griffiths, Alan Reeks and William and Catherine Williams attended. It was good that they supported the competition.  President Paul Cheadle gave his apologies.
