Mencap Home Internationals Football Tournament

At Penybont FC
Rotary Bridgend were delighted to be invited the 11-a-side Disability Football Tournament held from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August at Penybont FC.
Having sponsored the medals awarded to all
players, a group of Rotarians enjoyed a wonderful Saturday watching some excellent
football between teams from England,
Jersey, Northern Ireland and, of course, Wales who had entered two squads.
After all of the incredibly competitive matches had been completed, President Paul Cheadle, Immediate Past President Win Griffiths and Rotarian Robin Bratton presented a medal to every player.
At the end of the tournement, England ran out winners (header photo), and each
team received a trophy. There were also awards presented for individual performances. 
Great credit and thanks must go to Richard Howe and his team from Heronsbridge School in Bridgend for their co-ordination and organisation.
