The July Rotary Ramble took the group of eight on the annual visit to Newton/Porthcawl, on what turned out to be a dry and warm day.
Starting from Newton Church we followed the coastal route to Porthcawl's Eastern Prom. The walk progressed passed the harbour and onto the Southern Promenade. On our return journey the sun came out giving a photo opportunity with the now famous Lizzy driftwood.
A very enjoyable fish & chip lunch was taken at Beales Fish Bar, opposite Griffin Park, followed by ice creams from Sidoli's at the start of the Coney beach path.
The day’s outing finished with a pint in the Jolly Sailor Inn, Newton.
