What a pleasure for Rotary Bridgend to welcome four RotaKids from Coety Primary School, along with their teachers Mr. Jones and Mrs. Johnson.
Joining us were Isla, President of Coety RotaKids, Sophia, the Vice President, Secretary Charlie and Zara, their Treasurer. Sophia, Isla and Charlie are pictured above with Rotary Bridgend President Paul.
There are 13 members of Coety RotaKids who have all helped with their projects. The last project undertaken was to stand outside of their school with donation buckets, raising awareness of their fundraising goals. In addition the RotaKids organised a clothes drive, encouraging donations from the school community. A wonderful sum of £110 was raised for their chosen charity, Emmaus, a dynamic homelessness charity that transforms lives by offering not just shelter, but purpose and community.
What a wonderful achievement and it was great to hear how rewarding and fun the RotaKids found the whole experience. Isla, Sophia, Zara and Charlie are all in their last year at primary school and Rotary Bridgend wish them all the very best as they move on to the next phase of their education.
