Seven ramblers took part on this warm, dry summer morning. We first visited the 15th century church in Peterston-super-Ely before crossing the Ely river footbridge and walking up the wide, tree-lined avenue of Wyndham Park, originally called Glyn Cory Garden Village, a development started in 1909 by John and Reginald Cory.
We continued uphill onto the ridge with fine views from Brynna in the west to the Garth mountain and North Cardiff. Entering St Nicholas we passed the 14th century church with it's waterpump against the wall, and the war memorial. Continuing on the footpath we crossed Cottrell Park golf course before negotiating a fallen tree across the path and finally crossing Llanbedr bridge back to the start.
Later, we were joined by four other Rotarians at the Aubrey Arms for the enjoyable meal and refreshments.
