Breakfast Meeting at the Heronston Hotel

The Rotary year 2025 - 2026 is Rotary Bridgend's centenary. President Elect Paul Cheadle gave an update on the Centenary Team's activities and plans.

Firstly, Paul gave an update on our three centenary projects - at the special needs nursery Y Bont, the special needs school Heronsbridge and the palliative care centre Y Bwthyn Newydd.

Paul then gave an update on the plans to celebrate and commemorate our centenary, these including producing a centenary book and mug, a commemorative bench for Bridgend town centre, planting trees in Bryngarw Park and placing a plaque at the Wyndham Arms Hotel where Rotary Bridgend held their very first meeting.Finally Paul made the point that our centenary year presents us with a great opportunity to promote Rotary Bridgend and all we do and to engage further with our local community.
