Lighting up local landmarks for World Polio Day
Supporting Rotary's worlwide fight to eradicate Polio, Rotary Bridgend lit up local landmarks, including St Crallo's Church in Coychurch, in purple.
Why purple? When a child receives their life-saving polio drops on mass polio immunisation days, their little finger is painted with a purple dye so it is clear they have received their polio vaccine.
Our thanks to the churches involved for once again allowing us to colour them purple.
