On what turned out to be a lovely day, four walkers set off from the village of Brombil on a steep climb into Graig Fawr woods above Margam.

Heading between lush green fields and grazing horses, we made our way to the 12/15 century Capel Mair and the fine views of Margam Estate and beyond.

Re tracing our steps, a further short climb took us to the old WW2 bunkers and views across Port Talbot (including the steel works), Aberavon and Swansea Bay.
All down hill from here back into Margam and excellent refreshments and banter at the Twelve Knights.
