International Dinner at the Heronston Hotel

International team leader, Terry Moseley, welcomed Deana Owen (pictured above with President Win who is appropriately attired for an international evening) and fellow trustees of the Friends of Monze charity to our International dinner.  The charity, based in Bridgend, aims to improve the health, education and wellbeing of children in the Monze District of Zambia.

Terry explained that we have already helped the charity by donating funds to buy Happy Readers books for the children of Chicheleko school in Monze and that we are raising more funds through a curry and quiz night and choir concert in order to help with the development of a school garden or to purchase more school books.

Deana then gave a presentation on the impressive work of the charity explaining that among other work, they have now developed 17 schools in Monze and are continuing to provide support.

Following the presentation, a vote of thanks was given by Prof. Ron Eccles of the International team and everyone then had an opportunity to view and buy the range of items made by the people of Monze.
