Pencoed Primary School is one of the largest in the area, with over 600 pupils. Adam, originally from Pembrokeshire, gave a most interesting talk of the challenges faced by schools including budgets, post-pandemic attendance, inspections and follow-on actions.
The school already has a number of connections with Rotary Bridgend, such as youth speaks, the weather station we donated and the recently formed RotaKids. We share the same values of respect, trust and collaboration and Adam wants to maintain the links with Rotary Bridgend.
Following questions to Adam, Rotarian John McCarthy, a governor of Pencoed Primary School, thanked him for an excellent talk and praised Adam for the new ideas he has brought to the school.
