Curry and Quiz Night

Held at Court Colman Hotel, we were delighted to welcome and hear from Deana Owen who founded Friends of Monze in 2023. 

Friends of Monze charity works with Zambia based partners to improve health and education by building schools and providing water in the Monze area of Zambia. Deana gave us an excellent talk on the work the charity is involved in and there was also a stand with further information. Deana's husband also attended along with trustees Paul and Belinda Green.

An excellent quiz was wonderfully chaired by Carwyn Jones with teams facing two rounds either side of a delicious curry buffet. Rounds included literature, history, geography and music with a picture round on each table from the start of the evening. A raffle was held at the end of the evening.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed a very successful evening which raised £300 towards the purchase of school desks in Monze.

Terry Moseley, our International Team Lead, gave thanks to Deana and all who attended.
