Foundation Dinner

Martyn gave us a great insight into his most interesting and full life.

Martyn joined the army and was honoured to be at the wedding of HRH Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, though this did involve considerable training to ensure all went well on the day.

Following Martyn's time in the army he joined South Wales Police, rising through the ranks. He told us of his time as Inspector at Bridgend Police Station before going on to become a Superintendent in Cardiff with responsibility for events in the region including royal visits and major sports matches.

Now a County Councillor for the Garw Valley ward, Martyn has also been Major of Bridgend.
