Charity Concert Supporting BOTAWA Project Fruit Tree Growing in Botswana, Tanzania, and Wales

 An excellent evening of musical entertainment, led by the Kenfig Hill and District Male Voice Choir supported by soprano soloist Rhian Hughes and Sage Taylor, a gifted young violinist and composer who has recently been accepted by the Welsh National Yout Orchestra.

Ticket sales, donations and a raffle raised £1,480 for the fruit tree growing project linking three schools in Bridgend - Heronsbridge, Bryntirion Comprehensive and Cefn Cribwr Primary -  with six schools in Tanzania and one in Botswana.

International Team Lead Win Griffiths thanked all the musicians, who very kindly gave there time and talent free of charge as indeed did the venue, and to compere Cllr Alex Williams who ensured the concert ran smoothly from start to finish.
