Peterstone-super-Ely to St Nicholas and return via different route, around 3 miles long and taking around 2 hours.
The up section was an approximate 50/50 mix of gradual climb and flat (recovery time perhaps!) through fields and wooded areas. The down section was roughly the same terrain but with tarmac lanes as well.
There were no sections of steep gradients, either up or down. The only tricky bit being one of the stiles on the down section as it is set a few feet above road level so on leaving the track there is a bit of a drop to the road but there are flat stones acting as steps down.
At the end of the walk an enjoyable lunch at the Sportsmans Rest public house.
