Rotary Bridgend at Freshers Fair

Rotary Bridgend have a stand at the Bridgend College Freshers Fair

After a number of visits by members of Youth and the Community Team to Bridgend College staff, the Student Life Team invited Rotary Bridgend to have a stand at Freshers Fair.

Contact was made with various District Officers to obtain relevant literature and pull-ups, and a meeting arranged to obtain these items, In addition, the pull-up with a list of Local Charities supported by Rotary Bridgend and the information cards were put to use on the Stand.

Members of the Youth and Community Team arrived early on the 7th and 8th of September to set up at both Pencoed and Bridgend Campus of the College.

This event provided and opportunity to engage with 4,000+ students plus members of staff as well.

Over a period of 4 hours at both sites, a large number of people interacted with us and we are now planning a follow-up meeting with the Student Life Team.
