South Wales Police Heritage Centre Visit

Rotary Bridgend members and guests visited the South Wales Police Heritage Centre in Bridgend Police HQ. 

As the first planned outing for 2022/23, nineteen members attended a very interesting tour of the varied display of memorabilia from across the years of South Wales Police. The tour was greatly enhanced by our two tour guides, who added both personal experience and knowledge to the forces history.  There was plenty of opportunity to discuss specific items, as well as seeing how the police force have advanced and adapted to new ways of operating over the years. Of particular interest was how officers  had been involved in both World Wars and also their role in welsh rugby at the highest level.
