Run in partnership with Tanio, this has focused on music as a way of addressing emotional and mental health issues, by building confidence and community through creativity. The sessions have encouraged self-expression through peer support, team building exercises, creative writing (poems and song lyrics), percussion playing, learning of basic music theory and musical improvisation. The group has gelled really well and there is a marked increase in self-confidence and improvements in mental health amongst those attending, all of whom have issues with depression and or anxiety.
