We were delighted to welcome Lindsay, pictured with President Tony Berrow, who gave a most interesting and insightful presentaion about education in Bridgend County.
There are 59 schools in the County, consisting of 9 secondary, 48 primary and 2 special schools, plus 1 pupil referral unit. Around 22,400 pupils attend the schools staffed by approximately 3,600. The annual budget is circa £160 million.
It was encouraging to hear of the generally high standard of schools throughout Bridgend County, reconised by Estyn, the education and training inspectorate for Wales.
Following a question and answer session, Win Griffiths thanked Lindsay for an excellent presentation.
