Dear Anne
On behalf of Ann and all the team at Freedom From Fistula, I am writing to thank you and fellow members of the Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright most sincerely for your extremely kind and generous donation of £1,000.24, being money raised at the recent, and most enjoyable, fundraising afternoon tea.
Rotary Clubs across Scotland have offered invaluable support during the last 10 years and we are delighted that Rotarians have once again pledged their support through the launch of a new Global Grant to help our Aberdeen Women's Centre in Sierra Leone (GG1981430 – The Sierra Leone Fistula Project).
Every £1,000 raised by Rotarians can provide one of the following:
250 consultations at the Children's Outpatient Clinic including consultation, treatment and vaccinations
10 safe births in the maternity unit
One life-changing fistula surgery including rehabilitation and reintegration
Provide literacy and numeracy training to 20 women and girls
Feed 500 patients
100% of all donations to directly to Freedom From Fistula programmes as all administrative costs are met by The Gloag Foundation.
Many, many thanks once again for your support which is greatly appreciated by us all.
Kindest regards
Sue
