Rotary "KIDS OUT" - Cream o" Galloway 2017

Rotary "KIDS OUT" 2017

KidsOut Day is held every year, on the second Wednesday in June, throughout the UK.

The KidsOut team join up with Rotary and here in the Stewartry, an event was organised by Linda Simpson and Andy Courtnadge of Kirkcudbright Rotary, involving Clubs from Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie and Newton Stewart, and held again at Cream o' Galloway.

63 Children from schools across the area, from Newton Stewart to Dalbeattie, had a fun-filled day along with 47 adult carers and 15 Rotary helpers.

Staff at Cream o' Galloway provided delicious snacks and lunch, and the outing ended perfectly with a scoop of their lovely ice cream while the sun shone. The children had enjoyed various activities from playing to climbing and an educational pond visit.

A big Rotary thanks must also go to Castle MacLellan Foods who gave a very generous donation to the event.
