Rotary End Polio Now - Charity Concert
Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright - End Polio Now - Charity Concert was held at the Kirkcudbright Primary School at 1900 Monday 23rd February 2015
( 7.00 pm until 9.00 pm ) to a packed house and an abundance of talent.

Charity Concert
in aid of the End Polio Now campaign
Last night we had the most amazing concert in Kirkcudbright Primary School Hall with performances by children from the five local primaries and from the Academy. Included were various choirs, junior tin whistle and ukelele bands, solo artists on guitar, drums, piano, flute and combos on keyboards, xylophones and glockenspiels, and vocalists There was even a staff choir!. Everyone present was full of admiration for the performers and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
My sincere thanks go to all of my Rotary colleagues who attended and especially to those who assisted on the night and with preparations beforehand - it was a very creditable club effort.
The main aim of the concert was to raise awareness of Rotary in the town but we did also raise a goodly sum for End Polio Now - the full acconting is not yet available but it will exceed last year's amount.
I am exceedingly greatful of the vast amount of work put into the preparation for this event by Kate Picken and Hannah Gill. Their energy and enthusiasm was very evident in what was done and by the way the performers rose to the occassion - the town is most fortunate to have these people in our schools.
