LONG LIVE FATHER CHRISTMAS - SANTA - You are MARVELOUS!
In these troubled times it is absolutely brilliant that a Rotarian from Kirkcudbright has pulled of a magnificent feat - Kirkcudbright Winter Wonderland Team along with Kirkcudbright Rotarian Derek Smith contacted Air Traffic Control at Shanwick knowing that Santa or Father Christmas (which ever callsign he was using today) was on a pre Christmas sortie over the North Atlantic and obtained special clearance for him to come low level over Dumfries and Galloway to put down on a boat in Kirkcudbright Bay and enter the port of Kirkcudbright. The photographs show on these youngsters faces the pleasure and excitement this achieved.
All this could not have been possible without the excellent co-operation of the Harbour Master, Fishing Fleet and the Range Safety Vessel Gallovidian.
