40th Charter Anniversary Celebration

Fri, Sep 21st 2018 at 6:45 pm - 11:30 pm

We celebrated forty years since our Charter with a delicious meal, lots of treasured memories and visits from former members

The fortieth anniversary of our Club's Charter was celebrated on Friday 21st September 2018 at the Lensbury Club in Teddington.  We were greeted with a glass of bubbly to enjoy while browsing the array of photographs and memorabilia from the club's archives over the years. Several former members joined us and it was wonderful to catch up and reminisce with old friends. We were particularly pleased to welcome Chris Ferguson and Ross Wood who were Founder Members of our Club.  We were also joined by members of the Twickenham and Kew Rotary Clubs aswell as our District Governor David Easton.  After an excellent meal, we were entertained by Simon Douglas Lane on the keyboard with a number of interesting and amusing songs.  We still have one Founder Member Jim Stevens who has managed to stay the course and was presented with an engraved tankard to commemorate the evening.

All agreed that the evening was an excellent success and we look forward to celebrating our fiftieth!
