Youth Opportunities

The Youth Committee is chaired by Eva Peters.

These are a few of the things we do to help young people:

* Organising a Technology Tournament for local schools in the Borough.

* Running a chess club at Heathfield Junior School.

* Supporting "Kids Out" and "Dreamflught" with financial contributions.

* Providing book prizes to pupils of local schools judged to have been the best at giving "Service Above Self" either in the School or in the local community.

* Running a Shoe Box Appeal in conjunction with local schools and other volunteers to provide support to needy families overseas.

* Encouraging participation in Rotary youth competitions.

* Staging mock interviews with local schools to give pupils valuable experience in their career prospects.

* Inviting the District Youth Opportunities representative as a speaker to one of our lunch meetings.
