Morden Family Fun Day

Now the biggest annual family event in Morden, hosted by Merton Charity Events

Opening the club presence at Miorden Fun Day

Morden Family Fun Day is 10 years old. In 2014, the Rotary Club of Morden initiated the day as a Rotary project to benefit the community of Morden and its neighbouring wards.

In that first year, we realised that it would become too big and an event for us to continue managing. Our then Vice President, John Harris began a collaboration with a friend of the club, Andy Butcher to set it up again the following year.

Since then, it has grown every year. In those ten years it has raised nearly £70,000, all of which is donated back to the community. Community interest organisations, local charities and even individuals in need have been beneficiaries.

The Rotary Club of Morden has maintained a presence at the event every year and has supplied volunteers to help set up and to manage the gates.

This is a great annual event for the community. We hope we can continue to assist whenever we can.

John de Ronde, secretary.
