05 November VETERANS HUB
A warm welcome was made to veterans who attended this month's Veterans Hub at The Army Reserve Centre on the usual first Tuesday of the month. Mostly familiar attendees and a few new, with some guests. Teas and coffees were provided for everyone whilst all congregated with ease.
This Sunday see Remembrance Sunday - yes yet another year already passing but least we forget and Dennis did the honours of playing the Last Post which was followed by two minutes silence, Geordie recited ‘ They Shall Grow Not Old......’ and Dennis then continued with playing Reveille. Poppies were also available for sale.
The Veterans are also invited to the wreath laying at the Clock Tower in Epsom and the Parade in Ewell Village on Sunday, and to a meal at the Army Reserve Centre.
A trip is also planned for the veterans to London to see the Christmas Lights organised by Epsom Rotary and Epsom & Ewell RBL.
