Family Fridays - BID=GO Epsom - Friday, 09 August 2024
Epsom Town Centre Marketplace was vibrant all thanks to BID - Business Improvement District and GO-Epsom hosting again family entertainment all free, with particular activities for children. This week saw caving, which proved popular, a merry go round swing ride, magic shows, the regular but most popular Punch and Judy puppet show, and arts and crafts. The Ashley Centre crafts turned the little ones into princesses or warriors.
Epsom Rotary also held a craft stall, engaging children in a free game of chance, and although the game was very much in favour of the children, a further go for luck was given to ensure that prizes were won. The stall also inspired children to plant cress seeds which encouraged something some had done at school, and fine motor skills, which proved popular.
We were present mostly, however, to marshal the event, and ensue the safety and wellbeing of everyone that attended. The event was certainly busier than last week due perhaps to more activities and shows and the weather was again on our side, and perhaps returning participants, and further publicity through GO EPSOM which brought into Epsom Town Centre many locals and visitors.
A massive thank you to all the members and friends who helped at this event which highlights the Club as having the community at heart.
