Epsom Rotary during 2021 continued as a club holding events on line and continued to support local events, charities both local and international.
Last year our President was Clive Richardson and the current Present is Harry Corben who has in fact been President previously and both have helped the club strive during the pandemic.and in particular but not exclusively has assisted Epsom Hospital with much needed supplies.
Meetings on zoom ensured that members and friends were keeping well and in touch with the community so far as possible. As you will see from the itinerary of events, some were run for the good of the community including the on line Showcase, work continued at the allotment and of course the Christmas run with our very much loved Tilly took place, albeit without knocking on doors but the public at large spread the news mostly by social media and of course advertised by Epsom Rotary.
Members of Epsom Rotary have also been actively assisting at the Ashley Centre in Surrey Stands With Ukraine and indeed have raised funds to support the Epsom Rotary International Appeal for Ukraine.
One of the main events has been the Epsom Community Fayre at Hook Road Area jointly with Ewell Rotary and we sincerely hope to be able to run this event next year.
Our recent Showcase displaying local talent, whilst supporting worthwhile charities such as MENCAP, Dsycover, Mary Francis Trust and Agent Concern was an overwhelming success providing the opportunity of many to perform at The Epsom Playhouse on 19 April 2022.
This year we have tried to be more active as a club but we always welcome more members so that we can carry on the good work with like minded people as well as having friendship and a sense of achievement along the way.
Harry is soon coming to the end of his term as President and we welcome our new President shortly and will update you on this event.
