I have today received a letter from The Meeting Room. Most of you will be aware that it is a charity that runs drop in centres for the homeless.
I have today received a letter from The Meeting Room. Most of you will be aware that it is a charity that runs drop in centres for the homeless. Each year a box is placed in Epsom Waitrose for donations to the charity in the form of food though sanitary products, soap etc. are also welcome. Last Christmas, after conferring with the charity, we donated a number of items including sanitary products, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, thermal gloves and hats. These items were in addition to the items collected at Waitrose. I have attached the second page of the letter where our club is given a mention along with other donors. This year it would be good if we could perhaps individually donate a wrapped present for them to hand out at Christmas. I am willing to organise if people are willing to donate, so please advise me if you are happy to provide such a present. I will e-mail the charity to get a steer on the type of items that would constitute a present.
