On Saturday 22 August Maria Anstiss and Chris Shortt took part in a voluntary litter pick in the Borough. It was organised by College Ward Residents Association. Mike Waddilove took part in a previous litter pick. This is an example of how Rotary can get involved with the local community. Tim Humphries, the organiser, had this to say "I am delighted that Chris Shortt passed the event on to his fellow members of the Rotary Club and we shall mention that in our next flyer to the College Ward residents which I hope will encourage some more of our members to join in next time. There are many more roads to add to the list and since we could do with a bigger team next time the Rotary Club help will show our members that it is a decent thing to do and maybe we can get more of them on board because of their example this time."
