Voluntary Action Mid Surrey give Volunteers Award to Tony Axelrod and Duncan Cox

Duncan Fox & Tony Axelrod Epsom and Ewell Rotary Club
Tony Axelrod from the Rotary Club of Epsom and Duncan Fox, from the Rotary Club of Ewell and , have jointly been responsible for organising the Epsom family fun day for the past 3 years. Prior to this Epsom had been lacking a community Fun day for many years. Together they have organised sponsors and advertising, booked over 140 stallholders at each event, arranged the main arena events and booked the funfair and refreshment stalls. In addition they arranged for car parking, first aid cover, toilets, security and pitch allocation.
These are just some of the tasks organised and managed by Duncan and Tony, which resulted in over 13500 people attending last year’s event. Their dedication and commitment over many months to the event, has raised over £20,000 for local charities and given local families a fun day out. Without both of their support none of this would have been possible.
