"I get my kick out of bricks"

This is what Mark Cranston told us at his talk on the history of the Scottish brick industry. Not only does he collect Scottish bricks that have travelled around the world as ballast in sailing ships, but he and fellow brick historians are working towards setting up a Scottish National Brick Museum.
