Winter Parade and Christmas Tree Festival

Santa and the Winter Princess switched on the tree lights in Jedburgh

This year Jedburgh's winter festival included a parade, Santa in his grotto and a Christmas tree festival organised by the Jed Eye in Jedburgh and Oxnam parish church. Santa and the Winter princess walked up the High street leading a parade of families bearing fairy light lanterns led by the pipe band. Meanwhile, the Christmas Turkey, Oxnam Valley Voices Community Choir and Jedburgh town band sang carols around the tree in the market square.

Santa had his grotto in Carter's Rest where there was fun and games. Jedburgh Rotary's tree was decorated with the theme of Peace, based on the poem "I heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Longfellow.
