Following on from our May Day inter-club quiz with Gainsborough Rotary club and our own Midsummer Quiz Night, we have arranged for another inter-club quiz to take place on Friday 9 September at 7:00 pm.
“Why World Egg Day?” do you ask. World Egg Day is celebrated every year on the second Friday in October and events are held across the world celebrating the egg. The first World Egg Day was celebrated in 1996.
“A Box Without Hinges, Key Or a Lid,
Yet Golden Treasure Inside Is Hid.”
An ancient riddle.
Besides which, we decided we needed a title for our quiz night.
Once again our quiz will be hosted on Zoom by Stephen’s brother, Fred, who is a member of the Rotary Club of Gainsborough. President Patricia has invited the Gainsborough Rotary Club members, families and friends to join us. So let’s discover who will be deciphering the riddles to become the eggheads of our quiz.
Full details and joining instructions may be found HERE
Although there is no charge for taking part in our quiz, some people have asked if they can make a donation to our President's charity, the Croydon Crisis Skylight Centre. If you wish to make a small donation, please make payment to Account Number 01319143, Sort Code 30-92-45, with the reference CRISIS.
