On Tuesday February 25, 2020, Rotarian Jim Spinks
(pictured left) introduced guest speaker Martin Hogbin from the Croydon Astronomical Society to speak to us about
"A Brief History of the Universe".
Martin began with the 'Big Bang' when hydrogen was formed as a result of a giant explosion. He then went on to talk about the formation of elements, planets, galaxies and much more. He also showed the distances involved which are colossal.
An interesting talk with much more to learn about a fascinating topic.
