Hawick Rotary's Assembly & Handover took place at Mansfield House Hotel on 25th June. This marks the close of one Rotary year and the beginning of the new, with 2025-26 President Mairhi Trickett handing over to incoming President George Hogg. George then welcomed his new Vice President Judy Tyler.
Leaders of the Club's various teams – such as Keith Wight of Community & Vocational and Nicky Bell of the International team - laid out their plans for the year ahead, giving details of projects they would take forward and the events which would be held to raise funds for these.
Increasing membership of the Club is a high priority and team leader George Thorburn spoke of his wish that members consider people they might approach, but particularly also businesses which could be invited to become Corporate Members supporting the Club and its activities.
Members were very pleased to welcome Rotary's Assistant Governor for the Borders area, James Bruce from Tranent, who spoke warmly of his ongoing involvement with the very active and welcoming Hawick Club.
