The club was pleased to welcome Mr Simon Watson representing TD9 Radio.
We were highly entertained by a presentation and detailed description of the station that is housed in the library building.
We learned that from humble beginnings in 2020, in one small room, the community station has expanded to two studios on the upper floor of the building and a third studio is in progress.
There are currently 19 people, providing their time voluntarily on line delivering a diverse variety of music and discussion to all the community in the TD9 area, and the wider world where exiles can access the platform on line. The well attended 1514 concert this year is currently still available on the platform to be appreciated.
The radio is very committed to the Hawick community and can be heard covering local topics and also go on location such as the Burnfoot Carnival.
Yet again, this provides ample proof of the community spirit and talent that flourishes in the town of Hawick.
