Supporting ShelterBox

During the last month Hawick Rotary have been promoting ShelterBox, an organisation which provides help following disasters - a large, strong dome tent for families and living essentials such as a water purifier, cooking pots, tools for making a more permanent shelter, blankets, mosquito nets, etc., all contained in two large boxes which are stored in depots close to areas where they are most likely to be needed.

A big thank you from Rotary to Denholm Car Boot Sale organisers who gave us a pitch and Hawick RFC who let us collect at the Selkirk game and, of course, to all those who donated so generously. Their invaluable assistance helped us raise over £750 which will help Shelterbox to replenish their stock after the most recent disasters.
